SOL by Walker Breaks Ground

SOL by Walker celebrated a significant milestone, officially commencing construction on Walker Corporation’s flagship residential development at Maroochydore City Centre.
Walker Corporation with project partners Sunshine Coast Council and SunCentral, were joined by key dignitaries, stakeholders, and community leaders for the official ground breaking ceremony, marking the commencement of construction of SOL by Walker.
This event launches construction of SOL’s first 19-storey residential tower, which will deliver premium residences featuring expansive views of the coast and hinterland, resort-style amenities, and seamless integration with nearby retail, dining, and community spaces.
Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie emphasised SOL’s critical role in addressing the region’s housing needs and supporting Maroochydore's preparations for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Sunshine Coast Mayor Rosanna Natoli praised the development for its focus on regional innovation, sustainability, and community enhancement, noting its pivotal role in shaping a progressive and vibrant future for the area.
David Gallant, CEO of Walker Corporation, expressed pride in delivering a thoughtfully designed, integrated community. He highlighted the importance of collaboration with SunCentral, Sunshine Coast Council, and the Queensland Government in realising the project's vision.
Amanda Yeates, CEO of SunCentral, underscored SOL’s significance in activating the city centre, positioning Maroochydore as a thriving hub for residential and commercial activity.
With construction now underway, SOL by Walker represents an exciting new chapter in the ongoing transformation and growth of Maroochydore City Centre.
